A new single titled “Rescuer” arrives to streaming services on March 27, 2026.
“Rescuer” was originally released in 2013 on the EP 風の歌を聞け (Kaze no Uta wo Kike). This EP brought together tracks left over from sessions for the album Imprint, and it hints at the more experimental influences Eponymous 4 would spin out to Empty Ensemble.
Lyrically, “Rescuer” re-imagines the premise of the 1980s television show The Equalizer, which had been revived as a series of movies and a rebooted TV show in the 2010s and 2020s. Musically, it bears a strong influence of film composer Craig Armstrong and his collaborations with Massive Attack.
Pre-orders are available now on Bandcamp.
