Observant Records is the artist-run label for Eponymous 4, Empty Ensemble and Penzias and Wilson, home studio projects of web software engineer Greg Bueno.

Observant Records was launched in 2008 to release enigmatics, the first project Greg created under the moniker of Eponymous 4. In 2009, Observant Records released three volumes in a series called the Work Release Program before going on hiatus from 2010 to 2012. Greg relocated from Austin, Texas to Seattle, Washington in 2012, relaunching the label a year later.
